Turning Pages Book Club

Turning Pages Book Club began in 2004 and has grown to 11 book loving readers. We meet once a month to discuss a book we chose earlier in the year. One member leads the discussion and one member provides refreshments. Our selections include a biography, fiction, nonfiction, classic and history each year.

Our direct support comes from the Henderson County Library and a grant from the Twomey Foundation. Currently, we support the Family Outreach Community Center’s (FOCC) backpack program; library outreach in Mexico; gifts to the HC Library and our Henderson County Reads program.

Henderson County Reads encourages reading in the county. A book for adults and children is chosen each year with activities highlighting them. Some of our more ambitious programs have included a history book of Henderson County’s floods, which sold over 500 books! And a community play at the Raritan Opera House.

If you would like to join us some evening, please contact the Henderson County Library for more information.
